Who is a good candidate for a Tummy Tuck?

If you have loose or saggy abdominal wall skin - especially after pregnancy or weight loss.

What does a Tummy Tuck procedure involve?

     - Mini-abdominoplasty tightens the lower abdominal wall skin only (shortest scar).

     - Modified abdominoplasty addresses conditions where just the muscle wall or just the abdominal skin
       requires repair.

     - Standard abdominoplasty tightens all of the abdominal wall skin and muscles (standard scar).

     - Extended abdominoplasty tightens the abdomen and the flanks or sides (longest scar extending around
       the flanks onto lower back).

It can take anywhere between 2-4 hours.

How long does it take to recover from a Tummy Tuck?

Abdominoplasty can be one of the more uncomfortable plastic surgery procedures and probably requires more time-consuming and limiting recovery. One to three days of assistance at home is usually suggested.

When can I expect to see results from my Tummy Tuck?

After the operation you stomach may not look as flat as you had hoped. This is because the surgery can cause it to swell. But this will not last too long and it will go back to what it should be. It can take anything up to half a year to recover fully.

When can I go back to work/resume my normal activities after having a Tummy Tuck?

You will be encouraged to be moving and walking regularly within 1-2 days. Light activity is comfortable in 10-20 days. Sports will not be comfortable for about 6 weeks.

How long will the results of a Tummy Tuck last?

Results are permanent provided there is not a major weight gain.

What are my alternatives to having a Tummy Tuck?

Non-Surgical Body Contouring. Additional procedures that may enhance the result are Liposuction,
Breast Procedures,
or Thigh Lift
