Ulthera

Ultherapy refers to treatment utilizing the ulthera appliance. The ulthera appliance or equipment is a new device that is effective in skin tightening.

Ulthera is FDA approved for facial skin tightening, but there have been recent discoveries in utilizing this therapy in other areas of the body. These discoveries entail skin tightening for the elbows, knees and cleavage/decollete area also known as the upper part of the chest close to the breasts. The decollete area is particularly affected by sun damage and aging. Improving the decollete has always been a challenge due to the sensitive nature of the skin in this area. With Ultherapy however, we have a noninvasive and effective way of eliminating wrinkles and aging.

Non-Surgical Breast Lifting

Along with these new uses for Ultherapy, we have a new method for non-surgical breast lifting. This is done by using Ultherapy on the upper part of the breast. Preliminary studies show results of anywhere from one to two centimeters of breast lift. With repeated procedures we hope to produce even better breast lifting results. Although these results are not equivalent to surgery, we feel that at the first signs of aging this is definitely effective to some degree.

We all know that aging and pregnancies have their effect on breast tissue. Ultherapy would be a way of counteracting the early stages of these changes. Anyone with significant breast aging is going to need surgery, but in the early stages for a mild amount of lifting, this is something definitely worthwhile to consider.

And here’s an update – Ulthera on the face produces even greater lifting and more skin tightening than ever thought possible. Here at Del Mar Cosmetic Medical Center our staff has had extensive training in advanced techniques. We feel confident that we can now produce results in the lower neck, face and temporal areas which gives a even more pronounced overall lifting and tightening effect to the apperance of the skin. So the exciting news is that Ulthera can not only be used for surgical breast lifting and smoothing of the decollete, but also for elbows, knees, lower neck as well as better skin tightening results in the face and temporal areas!
