Skin Rejuvenation San Diego

The face is one of the most exposed parts of the body, vulnerable to a multitude of concerns. Damage from the sun, the environment and other factors leave our skin with the signs of aging: freckles, age spots, blotches/pigmentation, lines, wrinkles, loss of facial volume and sagging skin. The face is also subject to acne, rashes, allergic reactions, and injuries that may leave permanent scars.

At the Del Mar Cosmetic Medical Center we use a variety of lasers for customized skin rejuvenation. We also offer Botox, the latest fillers like Restylane, Sculptra and Juvederm as well as laser hair removal and Evolence.

What can I expect during a skin rejuvenation consultation?

During your consultation, we will discuss with you your expectations, analyze your skin and customize a program to rejuvenate your skin and improve wrinkles and other signs of skin aging.

How long do treatments take?

Our skin rejuvenation treatments are non-surgical, most of them can be performed in an hour and they require no down-time. So, you can take your lunch break, have a treatment and get back to work - without anyone knowing that you had anything done.

How many treatments are required?

Each of these treatments can be used alone, or depending upon your skin condition and the benefits you wish to achieve, are frequently prescribed in a series of treatments or in combination with other skin rejuvenation treatments.

When can I expect to see results?

Consistent treatments of a skin rejuvenation program may return that "glow" to your skin, correct sun damage and may also delay the need for cosmetic surgical procedures.

The Vamp Facelift

Vampires have always attracted an alluring mystique and with the endless array of vampire films and television series on the rise it’s no wonder the cosmetic industry has picked up on this fascination with the blood suckers.

The “Vamp Facelift” isn’t necessarily a surgical facelift but delivers volume rejuvenation to areas of the face that are lacking. Since the treatment involves the use of a patient’s own blood there is no need to worry about allergic reactions, bruising or swelling that are associated with traditional facial fillers. The process involves taking a vial of the patient’s blood, a centrifuge separates the blood’s components, then extracting the platelets and fibrin which contain growth factors and stem cells that promote healing, circulation and collagen production. This mixture can then be re-injected into the tear troughs, nasolabial folds, smile lines and any other area of the face that has experienced volume loss. Another major plus to the “Vamp Facelift” is this treatment lasts up to two years or longer, whereas most fillers currently on the market only last about half as long.

Since this treatment is relatively new there are only a few select surgeons who offer this treatment. Dr. Sherman is one of the first surgeons in the region to offer this exclusive treatment. This innovation in facial fillers is the first and only based from a patient’s own tissue and requires absolutely no downtime and only 30 minutes for an office treatment.

  • The amount injected is equivalent to 6 syringes of Juvederm (which would cost over $3,000 and start fading at the end of a year).
  • This looks better at the end of a year than at the end of a month because it actually de-ages the skin.
  • Your skin becomes healthier in multiple ways--fewer wrinkles, better complexion, improvement in scars, lessens skin folds
  • It can be used in the upper forehead and between the brows and in the lower eyelids to correct the deep circles (which should not be done with the fillers like Juvederm and Restylane).
  • Dr. Sherman has much experience with cosmetic injections-- having injected thousands of patients. The technique of injecting is similar to the other products, it's just that the product is new and better in many ways.
  • Since Dr. Sherman is injecting a distillate of growth factors from your own blood, there are NEVER any side effects from the material injected.
