What does a Portrait Peel treatment involve?
During the procedure, the scientific action of Portrait transfers plasma energy to the treated area without direct contact to the skin. It initiates skin regeneration deep below the skin's surface, remodeling the skin's architecture. This technique preserves the skin's outer layers which act as a protective dressing until the new skin regenerates.
How long does a Portrait Peel treatment take?
It is a simple procedure that takes less than 15 minutes for a full face treatment.
How many Portrait Peel treatments are required?
This will vary from 1-4 treatments depending upon your desired outcome, your skin condition and the level of improvement you are seeking relative to downtime. We will recommend an appropriate treatment regime for you at your consultation appointment.
How long does it take to recover from a Portrait Peel?
- At lower levels of treatment there will be some mild redness and flaking of the skin for 1-2 days.
- At higher levels of treatment the outer layer of skin browns and is shed 3 to 5 days after treatment. Once this occurs, the redness of the regenerated skin will last for 2-3 days.
